Paste this converted RT USB file into the main vcds folder. Then your cable should be visible in Mprog 3.5. Then if so, program it to the correct EPT
    PID FA24.

As i know, even if you can extract correct eeprom from atmega, the clone will not work. FTDI married with ID

If it works, be happy and leave it as it is...no solution for ARM cip...and thats the chinese plan, sell more because can not be repaired /updated.

Well, it says it is unlicenced and it cant connect to my Audi B4 but that could be because i have a problematic car to connect to.

So anyway, i want to buy the correct cable, I looked at obd2cartool.com but there are so many of them which strangely all have the same description but different prices.
Are there any hardware differences or is it all firmware?

I mean what is the difference between this one 42$ and this one 48$ and this one 29$? The first 2 seem to be the same thing and the 3rd one cant update for some reason but still has AT162

I want to do coding, measuring blocks on older vehicles like my Audi 80 B4 which has K-Line and a Audi A4 B5 which has CAN.

For these two cars you need only a simple vag kkl with ftdi for $ 8-10 and vcds lite 1.2 in the English full version.

Nobody test all hardware/software from obd2... to see whats the difference .
I just said whats my opinion.
It's important to have a cable with Atmega..after that you migth try reflash with new free stable/working dumps.

VCDS LIte 1.2 of the full version with vag kkl can do short coding, view the block of measured values, basic settings, adaptations. Audi B4 and audi A4 b5 do not support long coding. I have a vag kkl and hex can. For me, it is better to connect the audi a6 c5 2003y engine with a vag kkl than a hex can. Vag kkl also supports other cars, You can read mileage from EDC 15, read pin immo. e.t.c.

But this topic is about vcds hex can

First test your cable with A4 B5. And it don't use CAN for diagnostics. Only K1 and K2.
    What engine you have in that B4? Let's hope it's not a 2.3 10v or 2.0 16v trash.
