Hi all!
I have the hex v2 from obdcartool and it was updated too 1.96 now. These chips are fitted: Atmega162 + FT232RQ + 9241 + 16V8B + ATA6561. Is it possible too use the 18.9 with them? At the moment i use 18.2.1 with 6.3V loader.
Thanks
groudy

You need usb asp to flash it.
Here is mine that works fantastic hex v2!

I have one as well but mine came with 18.2.1. So you say that bootloader is unlocked on yours and you can use VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe to flash firmware without USBASP cable and without the need to open the case. Then I have to install the older 18.9.0 or other language, copy the loader, run loader, update firmware from 1.95 to 1.96 with VCDS?
What happens in the case I want to reinstall VCDS 18.9.0 or the language that was flashed with VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe? Do I need another reflash or I can just go and install VCDS, copy loader and it will work? This is still not clear to me from Info.pdf.
@papuc you can flash them if you Connect the hex v2 via obd at the car. 12v you need!
But you must flash the serial from loader v7.0. After flash you must delete the vcds from desktop and put the loader in rosstech folder.
All you need is in the VCDSLoader_v7.0.zip. You only must flash the vcds with VAGCOM_EEWriteLang.exe. Make sure that the vcds is connected via obd at the car!

Loader use technology 'code injection', this is often been detected as virus by some Anti-Virus software. So maybe not RT's fault
