Audi A3 8L (~ VW Golf Mk4) probably has immo-3 in instrument cluster. Cluster swapping need PIN code for old and new cluster. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index...ument_Cluster)
PINs can not be extracted with VagCom/VCDS. Other tools such as VW Flash-reader tool or VagTacho might be able to do it using the VagCom cable.
Repairing the old instrument cluster with parts from the new one may be another option.

Im using loader version v08.024.01 on AliExpress clones stm of 70-80€. Is possible to use newer version of loader or it will lock device if it doesn't have got lk chip?

if you are using v08.024.01 it means you have the LK chip and you could proceed

wait wait wait... loader 9.2 works with all versions , i have Hex-V2 Dual-K&Can <-> USB VAG/ISO Interface , soo... does it have to update somehow or what ? Just installed newest version of VCDS and well.. program starts, in options the TEST says OK , so do i have to update cable or something ?

I have a clone cable with ATMega162. It suddenly stopped communicating on usb. The FTDI FT232R IC died (went into short and got very hot) and I took one FT232 off of a serial to USB adapter and soldered it to my HEX cable.
Now if I plug it in, windows thinks its the serial adapter of course.
I only have to reprogram the FTDI chip to get it working again, right? Which tutorial to follow? Thanks
Update: Pretty much seems that the chip is locked. MProg says programmed, but everything stays the same.

Yes, fake FTDI chips don't allow changing the VID & PID.

Yes, the sampling rate is much higher with the ARM interface, but it also depends on the ECU you're connecting to.

why use 1.93 fw ? Last is 1.96
