Yeah, it's FT232RQ what is supposed to be there and it also caught my attention.
The PCB is prepared to take either RL or RQ package chips. Other than the layout, they have identical features.
I wouldn't say they replaced RQ with fake RL. Simply they made cloned RLs. As the PCB allow installation of any, they installed RL version.
I'd say this interface is not worth the time and money investment in order to be brought to proper life.
-FT232RL chip = ~5.50 EUR locally
-FT232RQ chip = ~7.20 EUR locally
-MCP2551 chip = ~1.40 EUR locally
Of course, you could order those from China and expect it to arrive sometime just before X-mas but it would be a bit cheaper.
Overall, if you buy components at local radio shack, the bill is no less than 7 Euros.
And finally, you still end up with an interface which has got K-lines driven by transistors rather than proper controllers.
Meanwhile, fresh interface with all the whistles is only about 20 Euros shipped worldwide at this thread's trusted store.

It should. If it doesn't (or works improperly) then please report back.

V6.3 work properly with AKP 18.2.1.
Just a report: V6.3 works with VCDS-DRV 18.2.1 and VCDS-PCI (german version) on Win7 just fine!
Thank you!

On XP Loader 6.3 generate errors:
Every new start the PC, on both versions of 18.2 the errors appear. If start againt the loader, programm work well.
Until ShutDown. After, again the error, programm not start. Second and next launch of loader, all ok.
Only on XP.
IMHO it's really time to forget about WinXP. That OS is over 15 years old. Were you using Windows 95 in 2010?
Maybe someone has got Czech VCDS installer, version 17.8 or later? Thanks.

cannot compare.
W 95 was a bad OS, XP was a good and stable (for his generation).
And..not last time, more of diagnose programs work on XP.
Sorry, not going to argue with anyone on this because it's just waste of time.
But a few points to think aboout are whether Windows 7 (or later) are unstable (for either generation) and if diagnose programs do not work with later versions of Windows, just XP.

For diagnostic software that require WinXP I would create a simple dual-boot system with WinXP AND Win7. Mainly I definetly would use Win7 and only fallback on WinXP if the software isn't even Win7 32 Bit (16bit emulated) compatible.
As diagnostic software I only use Autocom, Delphi and VCDS and these software work just fine on Win7. I'm just curious: Which software do really require winxp that you use on a regular basis?

I'm 99.8% sure that anyone who's still using WinXP has got a spare/dedicated laptop for that rather than a dual boot.
If I'm wrong with this assumption and everyone lives everyday life with WinXp nowadays then it's simply "woow" for me o_O

Take it apart and post good pictures of the pcb. I think it's not gonna be compatible because it's propably just a kkl-interface but I may be wrong.
