VAG-COM/VCDS EVERYTHING

Hello guys
Maybe this question sound stupid but must try.Last year I try to made a business with 908cable from china and buy at good price 10pcs.I have sell 5 or 6 pcs but business not so good and decide to keep others for me and like gifts for my friend.No any problem with one all buyers satisfied.I decide to keep for my personal use 2 pcs one give gift for my friend and the last one i wish to use with other s/w but older 805 or 704.Can someone advice me if I can use 908 with an older version vcds but not to made nothing modification just install the s/w.
Hope you understand what I mean.Sorry for my bad english.

you can always use older version than your current, for example 908 can work with 805, 704, 607

But he want to use this with the latest software. WHat its exactly problem?

For my idea, if your older software is from that Chinese supplier, I think you could install.
If the software from rostech or other supplier, i hope you do not install. As we all know that most Chinese cables are killed by original software.

That old s/w is from other Chinese seller but i do not imagine he give me an genuine rosstech s/w.

The difference in the VCDS 908 and 912 is only the software ?

he has some wardware difference ?

My friend that VCSD 908 works just with the cracked version.
You have on the CD and it is named Vag908 installer v150
All chinese suppliers sell that tools with that sw.
Time ago I saw on DK Vag908 installer v160.
I don't know what I had in that time , I mean if I downloaded and I have it now. Your tool works just with that cracked version of VCSD not with real version from ross-tech
Well if you like the interface you have to works with oriiginal softwear from ross-tech you make some modification like bibkare said in his post becasue your interface has FTDI232RL inside not BL or BM and the dump is posted by bibkare too
