    I think he wants to get the original Telwis Tacho software rather than reporpose it for \/CDS
    I can calculate ABS module codings for:
    * Continental/Teves MK60EC1 and MK60;
    * TRW systems in Passat B6 / B7 / CC /Tiguan;
    * MK100
    ;
    * Bosch ABS8.2, ABS9.0 and ESP8.2, ESP9.0;
    * EBC 460 (UP!, Mii, Rapid, CitiGo, Fabia, Toledo, etc) New!
    *
    ... and other VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda modules.I can assist with repairing \/CDS interfaces.

    The PCB is prepared to take either RL or RQ package chips. Other than the layout, they have identical features.

    I wouldn't say they replaced RQ with fake RL. Simply they made cloned RLs. As the PCB allow installation of any, they installed RL version.

    I'd say this interface is not worth the time and money investment in order to be brought to proper life.
    -FT232RL chip = ~5.50 EUR locally
    -FT232RQ chip = ~7.20 EUR locally
    -MCP2551 chip = ~1.40 EUR locally

    Of course, you could order those from China and expect it to arrive sometime just before X-mas but it would be a bit cheaper.
    Overall, if you buy components at local radio shack, the bill is no less than 7 Euros.
    And finally, you still end up with an interface which has got K-lines driven by transistors rather than proper controllers.
    Meanwhile, fresh interface with all the whistles is only about 20 Euros shipped worldwide at this thread's trusted store.
    it i try to update my interface with fake ftdi RL Chip and MCP2561 chip (Sleep chip), what will happen?

    i ordered a new Interface with geniune Chip and also a USBASP maybe i need it later..

    Nothing will happen. You will simply be getting random "interface not found", "connection timed out" and similar errors and interruptions. But overall it will "work".

    Ok guys, so I reprogrammed my cable HW:1.92 0x46 using loader 6.3. When I test the key with 17.8 with no 12V applied I get thumbs up. But when I connect 12V to it I get a message that Interface is not found and VCDS software comes up with unregistered message. What am i doing wrong?

    Keep in mind, English is not my native language.

    This is the other side. How do I bypass the GAL? I was under impression I don't have one on my board.

    Got the same timeout error today on Windows 7 x64.
    In the same time etka 8 was updating and I was uncompressing 8GB archive to flash.
    Maybe that made loader do it's "thing" slower and it timed out.

    I found the info on how to remove the GAL and solder the additional 3 wires. Will do this over the weekend. Anyways, I understand that i will loose K-Line support. My question is what exactly K-Line is used for? I need to disable my handbrake on our Tiguan so I can change the rear pads and I need to reset service interval on our Audi Q5. Will I be able to do that without of K-Line support? Thanks.

    Removing Gal solution...is not a solution, was released a few years ago for experimental entertaining I think, just to give a second chance to a cable...But does it worth waste time and at the end you will have a non-fully functional cl0ne ?
