Hello friends! I found the eeprom atmega and user interface of VCDS 17.1.2, but the test does not CAN. eeprom can be repaired or is it a waste of time.

This model of hw could work on cars with CAN?
Now has 11.11.5 and it is working on Golf mk3; but when it is conected to SHARAN 2003 he can not "see" the car.

If not work on CAN that means your tool have defective one or both controllers CAN.
TJA or MPC controllers.

Who want to test files just send it to me to test it. because i have an old airbag working on K and passat b6 for testing CAN.
I use two identically full pcb clone tools with BL.
Can be make a loader to pass blacklist serial?for updating firmware without problem only using USB connection.

There is ftdi_ee.bin, this should be for FT232RL?
If so, I use mprog to write eeprom to ftdi, but it does accept only .ept file and our file is .bin. I missed something???

Mprog accept only EEPROM Program Template (.ept extention), but PROGISP accept .eep(EEPROM), .BIN, .HEX and Motorola SRec (.src & .rom).
was compared ept from 12.12 pack files for RL, with this, and exist big differences.Comparing with 12.12 pack, this ept have not so much information.
And i saw same situation for flash & eeprom.

Allready tested those dump for Atmega , not working. I did not change eep for ftdi, but I think I will not make much difference.

What about recovery.exe ? How should be used? I tried to launch but, I get error.

I can run recovery.exe, click TODO, nothing happened, no message,nothing.I tried this without tool connected.This is for FTDI.
Win 7 ultimate.

About ProgIsp - it is accepting bin file, but it can be used to write on FTDI? I know it is for Amega....So how can I write ftdi_ee.bin to FT232RL?

is there a way to diable date check in vcds? every time the program starts it display "VCDS: software out of date ..."

I was rather thinking about modyfing vcds.exe Till now i was using 11.2 beta which doesnt check date so i suppose it can be done with verion 11.11.5 or am i wrong?

Hello All!

I have a "HEX+CAN" cable "Genuine Ross-Tech", bought in DX some time ago... It came with "VCDS 11.11.3" MiniCD and work fine until I've install VCDS 17.1.3 (original, from RT site), used VCP Drivers and connect to cable via COM-1 port! VCDS found the cable. But... it asked for upgrade from 1.91 to 1.93 firmware... I do it and the process finished successful!
After that, I can NOT use my cable anymore ("Interface: Not Found")... back to VCDS 11.11.3 with no success... :-(
