The NHS is facing a weekend of chaos as the fallout from yesterday's global cyber attack continues.
NHS England declared a major incident on Friday after the hack hit 40 trusts across the country, part of a global cyber attack that has now affected more than 74 countries.
It's not just the health service that has been affected though, with Renault car factories in France stopping production and FedEx also facing problems.
People in the UK expecting to see doctors and nurses - and in some cases undergo operations - have been turned away as health agencies try to get control of the situation.
Despite the ongoing crisis though, Health Minister Jeremy Hunt has been nowhere to be seen.
Hospitals are diverting emergency operations - and services are severely disrupted after the 'large-scale attack'.
A report in March warned that security chiefs fear that cyber-criminals could target computers, phones, watches, TVs and fitness trackers.
The National Cyber Security Centre and National Crime Agency warned of possible ?ransomware strikes? ? a bug that blocks devices until the user agrees to pay a fee ? are the biggest risk.

Eff all to do with a cyber attack or the NHS, nor is a hack.
It's not a cyber attack it's some dumb barstewards who insist on opening dodgy emails. The government is busy classing it as a cyber attack on the NHS (which it's not) so that they can justify the next round of monitoring everyones internet connections/surfing. Pathetic attempt to divert the publics attention away from the real issues by calling it an attack on the NHS. The people who opened them, and they know who they are, need sacking for causing teh chaos and being stupid enough to open such emails.
I'm sure plenty of Tory donars will be appointed specialists and make money hand over fist before they declare "we've fixed it, by being strong and stable"

Bit ironic NHS getting a virus.
Dolup of domestos works wonders
Employing people who don't open iffy looking attachments would be helpful. Still the government and media are selling this as a cyber attack rather than just anoher email bound virus. Hidden agenda's in there as usual.
If anything the government shold be considering why they use MS as the operating system of choice, other than MS donate money to the Tory party that is.

They should never let employees open email. Email should go to a secure department that checks them then sends them to rightful party. Funny how everyone said snail mail ( Post office ) would be useless cause of email. I guess the snail mail will live on since email accounts are full of junk and virus's.

Spot on mate hut the nail on the head. This isnt an attack on the NHS as the media etc are trying to sell it to the public as to derail people from from the real issues the NHS has.
In component staff that cannot grasp basic internet security are the issue here! Not just NHS staff... But yeah it's an attack on the NHS haha!
