Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 plus goes to F28 fault code after 4 hours.
Any one can help I have got Vailliant combo boiler, the boiler will stop working when not in use at night or left not used for 4 hours and once reset the boiler will run all day without stopping.
The boiler will only stop working when hot water is not used for over 4 hours any idea?
Thanks in advance.

"Common Fault 3: Codes F27 & F28
These codes refer to a frozen condensate pipe, meaning the condensate waste cannot run to the drain and is trapped in the boiler, causing the boiler to lock out.
The Fix: You may have to wait for the condensate to defrost. If the pipe runs outside, pour hot water over the pipe to defrost it, or place a bucket under the boiler and disconnect the plastic waste pipe on the far right of the boiler, before draining the condensate into the bucket."
Cold weather - condensate drain pipe freezing need to insulation wrap the outside pipe or trace heat it if it freezes boiler will refuse to start that's your first port of call

I first thought of that it was the pressure switch faulty replaced with new one all working good, thanks for your time mate.

All condensing combi boilers since 2004 do this, in emerica you buy heating wire for the waste pipes.
also if your buying boiler get stainless internals not aluminum as they corrode

yes, I do it and it runs.

Condensate can cause a lot of damage. My elderly parents had to fork out £17k after getting new heating installed three years ago for free, paid for by the government as they are in their eighties and the boiler was more than 20 years old. problem was the plebs that did the work ran the condensate pipe under the kitchen floor and connected it to the drain under the sink but nicked the pipe so condensate leaked for three years into the floor. all joists in kitchen and half of sitting room had to be replaced and new kitchen units. the joists that came out felt like rubber.
these things are great for freezing condensate pipes. they store the condensate until the little tank is full and and let it go all at once. the little tank clips around the heating flow pipe so the condensate is warmed up as well.

Nice post, somebody we know “Penis Peterson” mentions putting some lime or something at bottom of pipe

You must shut down your archos, and than switch the power button on lock position. With the rkandroid methode it must work. Be patient on win7 system and wait to install the drivers.
Condensate pipe frozen or blocked.
