Hello,
I hope you could help me,
I have a 2010 Chevy Malibu, customer change instrument cluster cause it was no good.
Original miles on the car is 94,209 and that is what the programmer shows, cluster that customer bought shows 103K miles, I tried to put original miles on the car through OBD2 but didn't allow me to change it. Now is it possible that you could change it on the cluster also that way It will show original miles? I had attached the cluster reading eeprom 93C66.
thanks in advance.
A simple thanks would do, If it didn't work at least I tried.

Mileage is in the BCM, drive the car and it should update.

Thanks for the quick reponse, drove car nothing change, got my hand on a 60K cluster drove car again and nothing change, My guess is the BCM is the problem!
what do you think?

mileage bcm 100%!

May be because of VIN mismatch

that is what I thought also about the VIN, so on the file I sent you can see 2 spots where VIN is, so I wrote original VIN on both spots, drove the car, and miles didnt increase at all!!

I would do a good scan Snap On Autel Etc and see if you can communicate with BCM.
if no communication check wiring and test again if still no communication maybe bad BCM.
any other body issues? Lights, Signals? Interior Lights etc?
if communication good with BCM I would suspect a class 2 data line issue from BCM too Cluster.
but if temp oil gauge good etc then that would rule that out! Have to check schematic to see what gets routed thru BCM to cluster.

Wait I believe oil fuel and temp get routed thru PCM.
Any codes?

BCM codes I got B1000-31 ECU Performance checksum failure
and also U2125-00 Lost communications with mobile communications control system, I was able to erase code B1000 but not the U Code!!

I can't see your U code having anything to do with your problem, the Onstar has nothing to do with the cluster.
You could try a reflash of the cluster with SPS. Or, if he has the old cluster, clone the eeprom, there may be a module ID as well as the VIN.

See if you have a company called elite electronics or protech near you they both do Mobile dealer level flashing maybe a reflash and eeprom clone as Clusters mentions could also be a possibility, hes right sometimes
