hello, im stuck with a car of my own, i think i have a faulty key/eis on my w166 gle 2016,
does anyone on here’s know of anybody out there that can test/repair my key/eis ?
it did work fine (ignition lights all on etc) but now ive got nothing and i think the key is faulty. u can see from pic below where the actual plastic (blade) meets the body of the key it’s coming apart.
any help on this would be much appreciated

And it got destroyed like that just by yourself i 2 years?? Wtf.
If yes, do like said above, get a new case and swap electronic board
no its been in a crash and drivers knee damaged key (i think)
but it worked the other day (all ignition lights on) but i think the pressure on key after a few ignition cycles has caused the connections to come apart apart on the key maybe,
as you can see from picture the actual body of the key is slightly loose(coming apart from blade)
is it possible the just swap internals of key (board etc) ?

Board is broken. Or coil at the best. Opet it. Slice it in half and u’ll c what you need to do there.

yes that’s what im going to have to try i think, these micro bga chips dont look easy to swap ,
i do have a friend who is very good at soldering/rework etc, even he is telling me if the micro bga has more than 16 balls it will not be straight forward at all to swap!
is there any specialists out there who can confidently do this for me? ill pay £ of course ?

I've made BGA rework longtime ago, for this key, it's easy for me. I never use stencil because it so small and not easy.
I put balls by hand 0.45mm in 10mn. 3mn to smelting. The most important is desolder and resolder to work.
Yes, you need someone who usual work with BGA, or you can detroy BGA and PCB.
Be polite. No Thanks + Rep, no HELP!!! Slava Ukcraine. Dead Putler civilians's killers!!!
