how would it break down? if u put the firmware on it that was released so u can get lets say get the chance of viewing again, seems like u have messed up something either your firmware has gone funny on your box possible re-flash needed?
Has the A850 box broken down completely? I have done an update and now if I go into Cable Scan, Menu or whatever I cannot get out of it. I have continued switching my box off and now when I put it on it is stuck on menu and I have no channels, it won't update and it is stuck. Any ideas please would be really gratefully received

yeah that's what flashing means, you may reflash with A850 firmware and update hopefully to recent firmware and see if it clears.
I have updated with an internet update and tried the other firmware which went out in May and June and now the box is stuck on Menu and I can't get out of it. Is there anyway of starting all over or has my box had it please?
its the same as before you have to scan correct provider and netid to pull in channels, you cant exit out as 0 channels found means wrong info entered.

Oh thank you. Cacti kid. Thought that the whole box had gone down. Will try again.
must be sorted has not returned
No it isn't sorted Asek. Just scared as I am not very knowledgeable on these things and appear stupid. I have got firmware update to May 17 2016. I presume this is the latest. My line is now showing as connected but all the channels apart from normal are scrambled. so no it is not sorted. I do not know where to go from here as I have been working on it repeated and it is driving me mad.
you could try and see if box will online update to a newer image?
1) why did you do an update in first place
2) do you defo know your cable provider it hasn't changed by any chance?
3) have you done a scan on your cable provider?
