Hi, is there any information what exactly would need to be done to pass the cars w/o particulate filters through please?
We have two. One, '07 EOS EuroIV still needs mapping (just recently had the physical work done due to failure). I was going to try it myself and just kill the DPF switch in map, and maybe reduce EGR at higher loads for better economy. Now I am worried it may need further / complex tweaking to pass the smoke test?
While I could put one back in VAG ones are really expensive for RHD cars and I fear it may not last due to whatever reason the old one failed.
Same would apply for early '08 JAG XF EuroIV, that was already done "professionally" by prev owner. EGRs are totally missing so will have to install dummy ones over blanking plates. Would that be enough?
Car 3 (59 CR passat) still original but VCDS reports 168 ml (out of indicated 175ml max in the yellow pop up)! Now is that actually going to become another big headache imminently? I don't fancy EuroV surgery.
Thanks.
