Thank you very much. My mistake was that I turned up the power on the box before entering the command from my pc.
I followed the instructions on the guide and everything went fine.

    Thanks

    Default ERROR MESSAGE

Hope someone can help. When connecting the box and jtag cable I get the same kinds of message that everyone else seems to be getting on here, but then I get a long list of error messages with the last 2 lines reading "Flash memory ID's do not match! (should be 0x89 and 0x17). Are you sure this is a dreambox DM7000s. Well I know its a dm500c but what the hell do I do about it!?

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

I would like to know if the jtag files for the philips tuner DM500-S Model would work for the DM500-C with a philip cable tuner?

    Hi
No, the 'C' uses a 'blimg' (Boot Loader Image file) and the 'S' uses either the dm500_alps.bin or dm500_philips.bin. The loader programs are also different.
    'C' uses jtag_windows.exe and 'S' uses JtagDM500.exe.
You may find some of these in the D/L section otherwise use the very popular search engine.

I've used the jtagWindow program to reflash the bootloader successfully.
However, while I was using the dreamup to flash the image, the log window showed an message like this:
COM: The hardware detected a break condition.
    Then no progress at all.

Is there anything could be wrong?

    Thanks a lot.

    Forgot to mention one thing.
Don't use Gemini 4.5. The same time bomb inside.
