I had the same problem, and I was always flashing the image Nemesis or Opli followed by ssl84. When I changed to flashing the ssl84 followed by the image the problem was solved. There is something else I do after flashing and restarting the box, is that I go to factory reset and follow the start wizard till the end!
It worked for me I hope it will work for you.

Here same problem. DM800SE works fine with OpenPli image, but after a software update (automatic) the tuner is empty. Nothing can be changed, a factory reset resolves the issue.
Before I had the same problem, after adding a (4th) additional dish, tuner becomes empty.

I wonder if I have a PSU problem, a bad capacitator or a wrong driver (hence the software update empties the tuner config).

    Any clues ?

Had the same problem on my box, On mine it had blown l32 inductor on the underside of the mainboard, next to the tuner rail, Replaced the faulty unit and box now working great again. Got 5 pieces for under a fiver from fleabay.
(Type 261089476968 on fleabay search bar)
This fix takes about 10 minutes to do but you need a 15watt soldering iron with a fine tip as the inductor is tiny, and a steady hand.
    Good luck.

If its a new box with the g tuner then dream elite wont work.
Try new enigma or nemisis they both work ok on the newer box.

Hi. Just had the same problem after flashing the box with Dream Elite Tuner A empty.
After hours of reading and searching the web my research pointed to a faulty PSU.
Look very carefully at the display light on your box and if it doesn't appear as bright
as it use to be then you could have a power supply problem.
I had a PSU lead from an old cable box that i swapped with and it solved the Tuner A
    empty error.
Just to convince myself i had solved my problem i repeatedly swapped the PSU leads and got the
    same results. Faulty PSU.

I had the exact same problem on my 800hd.

I tried numerous things like new images, flashing bootloader before image, reloading different channel lists.

After a serious pain in the stones I ordered a new tuner and all is good again.

update chaps,, new tuner sorted it, comparing the new and old tuner looks like the capacitor had leaked as it had black stuff surrounding it on the tuner board which i thought was glue, had i knew i would have changed the cap first, i will order a cap and solder it i to the old tuner to see if it was the problem and keep it as a spare.!
