    v3.0 chip

    hi to all
    anybody know where to get the v3.0 chip for vu+ duo
    i have been searching but to no luck
    any help welcome

    Your best bet would be to email one of the PRC suppliers and ask them, if your still struggling then some of the sellers frequent Ferrari forums who may still have some.

        are these chips easy to replace or is it a soldering iron and a steady hand kind of change over?

            cheers digicon, your right its a decent soldering kit and a steady hand, managed to find and d/l a tuturial for it of another forum, might look into it and see how much these chips are???

                  Its for the Clone Solo & Duo and lets you use the very latest images on the reciever where as V2.0 only goes up to something like Blackhole 1.7.9, you can of course use newer images that have been modified for use on V2.0 receivers but these will contain the old drivers

                    hi
                    got my hands on some chips, a decent soldering iron and a desoldering gun
                    downloaded a tut and went to work
                    never did this before, was easier than it looked
                    30 mins all done
                    my v1 is now v3
