    this works on my dm600

create a folder called recordings on your pc/hdd

I always find that the setup works better if I do it thorugh the web interface. Go to your browser and type in the ip address of your box and than select > Box control > Configuration > Mount manager and than type everything as you see below except the remote ip would be pc ip address.

what you trying to mount to ? pc, nas ? and how u conected to said item
just sounds like your share folder on pc/nas hasnt been setup correctly.
can you try mount either via webif or telnet ? (telnet would give us a few more hints as to why its failing )

    cheers
