SMART 450 VDO 93C66 read - write X8 OR 16?

Hi...

i need to edit the vin in a smart 450 cluster vdo with 93c66 eeprom, i read it as x16 and looks normal, and x8 is swapped, do you know if i must read and write it in x8 or 16? (if i write wrong probably zee take the double mileage....)

read x16 , change vin and write x16
make backup x8 + x16

I had make back up both....
I think if dump is swapped then wrong vin number and nothing change in zee....
