Hi, I have the same car Seat Leon FR 170HP with same engine code BMN and same partnumber of ECU 03G906018DK Siemens PPD1.2
I had read the ECU file, removed DPF and EGR with Davinci, but I can't fix the checksum.
I've read many tutorials about checksum and many programs to fix it, but none works for me.
I've tried WinOLS, Lsuite and ECM Titanium and nothing...
I would need some help please.
Many thanks since now.

if you write the file with kess ktag or fgtech you don't need to calculate the checksum, if the car doesn't start it means a bad solution.

Thanks for the fast reply mate.
The box I have for read/write are fgtech galetto 4. It was with that box that I backed up the ECU BIN.
So do you think I don’t need to correct the checksum after removing the DPF and the EGR?
Because I didn’t tried afraid of getting the car bricked.
If it goes wrong, can I put the original flash and it gets back alive?

with the clone tool I advise you to open the ecu and read the complete eeprom and flash. if you read and write from the obd and the eeprom is corrupted you have no possibility to start the car and you cannot even immo off for this ecu.

Ok, today I will search more about it.
I will see if tomorrow I can take the ECU and full backup by JTag.
Thanks Luigi

here my friend
you can write via obd everything up to 2015 approximately you can write with clone tools

Thanks Hazerssmurf.
So you saying I can write the file by OBD without any problem?
Because I've been searching what I needed to open ECU and flash it by BDM.
Today I had to work and I'm gettin some solder paste home, for soldering the pin strip on the BDM pads.
So its better to make a full clone by BDM, or just need to write the file by OBD port?

better to always have a backup with bdm read but i think rather less that something happens there when writing. be careful when soldering maybe get a bdm frame once

First of all many thanks to Hazerssmurf and Luigi84.
Hazerssmurf I've write the file and the car are working fine, no limp mode anymore. The coil light blinking on cluster disappear.
No more DCTs about particle filter. But the DPF light remains on.
I've unplugged the differential pressure sensor, and checked on VCDS that the info about the filter load remains in 20%.
I've set the adaptation of carbon mass to 0(as they say on VCDS after replacing DPF) and read that will disappear after a few KM.
So lets see what will happen on the next days.

So… my car are running smooth, today the load coefficient on particle filter reached to 0 no more regeneration light on dashboard. The only thing are a DTC when I turn of the car P0000(generic) and in the morning under 2 degrees I notice the car hard to start. I think I must adjust the injection or the idle speed.
Many thanks to all who have helped.
