Hello ,
I made a new key to an Fiat Punto from 2014. The key was with PCF7946 , and writed with IM508. Generated the dealer key , learned the key.
Problems is that , the remote isn't working on it , and it's an DELPHI board.
What can be the problem of this ? Thank you

This is too vague a question as the answer could be many things ,
was you using oem key or aftermarket key ?
as some of the china aftermarket fail to code in remote , i know a guy that had 3 alfa mito fail to code remote , used a different brand and it went straight in , some are poor keys.
keydiy seem to fail on these where xhorse work but seen plenty that have failed some months down the line.
so if aftermarket key , try a better key .
what smd did you choose when precoding ? does this match the board ?
too many variables that may have gone wrong from key , programmer , vehicle issue etc etc , your the man there , you know the key you used and whether oem , aftermarket , cheapest china tat , keydiy , xhorse etc , is the battery good in the key , is it fitted correct way round , is key transmitting correct signal , we are not there so dont know , we can only guess .

Hello , and thank you for the answer. So , the car has a working centra locking , the other key works ok. The key that i programed was OEM , but i think was for Ducato or something , because the icons from the key , on the third button that is for trunk is picture of a van and key. Is there a way that can be an Marelli PCB ? the PCB is 7946 , but i know that can be with 8 legs or 10 legs. And delphi need to be with 10 LEGS , right ?
Thank you

Ducato uses Magneti Marelli, logo is clearly on PCB, Punto uses Delphi, again manufacture is clearly printed on PCB

So why use it to code to a Delphi system!

if you have used a marelli remote then it isnt going to work is it ?
oem marelli have 8 pin , not all china keys will have 8 pin which is why some fail
oem delphi have 10-16 pin , some china keys only have 8 which often wont work
so you need to know what remote you have used , some vans are also delphi such as qubo , bipper and nemo .
if unsure you should have opened it up to check , saves alot of grief later .

I didn't opened the key beacuse the seller told me is OEM key for DELPHI , but now i have doubts. I told him , to open another key that he haves and to send me a picture with the PCB of them

sellers make mistakes as with any warehouse and distribution service , sometimes stock gets mixed or wrong stock selected , sometimes mistake is at their supplier , opening one of their keys is not going to help , you need to open your key as their delphi key stock may be ok and you may have just been sent the wrong key , so to be sure you need to open your key you supplied.
ive seen a number of keys over the years where before programming the key transmits the correct signal , after programming the remote part is dead and doesnt transmit at all , ive done hundreds but had 2 like this , so even this is a possibility unless you have tested the frequency after programming and its still transmitting correctly
so open your key up and check , and if you havnt check your key is transmitting correct signal .
it can only be one of a few issues
duff key/broken key
wrong key though if wrong key ie marelli then remote would often still partially work , wrong button doing wrong thing
dead battery in key
your programmer didnt do precode correctly or programming correctly
try turning ignition on with your new key to position 2 then press lock button on remote , then switch off ignition remove key and check remote
you wont get far till you check the key you supplied , just because the seller says its oem doesnt mean it is , not all sellers tell the truth.

Thank you for your answer , after i put the blade on the key , i had tested to see the freq , and was ASK 433mhz. i had precoded with AUTEL IM508 , but after the writes i didn't test it again to see if it's works or not. I will check again to see and will update here.

Hello,
Autel IM508 makes bad precode of those Fiat remotes. At least it used to, not sure if they fixed but this problem exited since beginning till Autumn 2022 so not surprised if still doesnt work like it should.

Everytime we learn something ;)
I went on trust that the key is Delphi , but seems that was Magneti Marelli , that was the problem ;)

Oh my lord. So you prefer to ask seller question and wait for reply, also posting here, instead of opening your actual key fob in 1 min to make sure you have proper remote?

never trust anything , as the keys look the same , mistakes happen in the supply chain and stock gets mixed up. blind trust is often costly.

You can also use IEA dual purpose remotes, they emulate Delphi or Marelli .FIR134+

I haven't had a pleasure to use one yet Martin, they come as delphi standard you just have to change to Marelli, where applicable. i was told they go with any programmer, S.PRO, AVDI,etc. here is the link to the video. i was told they don't lock up. if you chose the wrong system, you can revert back to the other. the video explains better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eeLZG_iqwA

As rapid locksmith said only takes a minute to open remote to check board type you cannot believe custumer plus check yourself and if wrong key order right one you will look and feel more professional in front of customer and be proud of job that you will do .good.

And? When something like that happen, there are only 2 possibilities. Wrong remote or wrong precoding choosen by user / wrong precoding written by tool. First thing you do is double check if you have proper remote. That way, you don't waste time of multiple peple trying to guide you what might be the problem.

mk3 cards are good, they produce it themselves, I did not have any problems with high quality. marelli delphi hassle free and economical.
