W222 s400 doorlock 9 shims only?

Hello guys,

I have been given a doorlock, and they need a key fitted.
W222 S-class. And i can feel 1-9 but no 10 position.
Soon as i pick these 9, it does not turn.
I have tried a few times.

Are there only 9 in these doors?

W204 and W212 also have only 9 (1to9) on the door but have 10 on the boot lock

looks like your picking is not good or the lock is stuck

I will try the thrunk.
Can the thrunk lock, turn in both directions?

Never had to much trouble with HU64. They pick best in the locking direction.
The bounce on a all in perfect, but not turning. When i overlift, the bounce is less, and less smooth. Or straight solid.
I even picked only the 13579, and feel the core unlock and this side.
Same with the 2468 side.
I have not cut a key, with the read out i gathered this way.
I used this technique on locks, were springs are broken.
The readout will always a bit higher, due to the core shift and play.




Car is burned, they want to open the thrunk without damage. The rear of the car is still in good condition.

Thrunk, i could open.
it did take me several minutes.


Will have another go at the doorlock, they did not need it anymore.
Clamping it in, might make it easier.
I did not write down the code, from the thrunk.
