hi i have a bmw 320i e90 and the ecu has water damage and can not be read at all i was wondering how to setup the new ecu
i have a d-can cable and bmw tools set i am a nooby and have no idea what to do next any help would be appreciated

Since the ECU is not communicating, you will have to try to bench read it and clone it to a new/used one. None of which can be done without special tools.

Or; find a virgin ECU (or make one, but again not without special tools) and program it.
