I have diga chinese clone and it wouldnt read any eeproms so I bought the ecutool repair kit and now it will read all eeproms but not any 24c series. Does anyone know of any known problems with these? Thanks

Tried all other chips and it works fine, Just wont read any 24c08 02 etc.. I've borrowed a pall's number 39 adapter board to try that and still no joy. Anyone got any ideas?

Check all soldering points in 24cxx adaptor, in mine I couldnt read 93cxx ones, I resolder all adaptor and Know works properly.

24cxx are the easiest one to read, so I supose it is a soldering or bad contact problem......

Thanks for the advice but I already tried resoldering and now I've borrowed another addapter from a pal that I know works on his machine. Just wondered if anyone knew of any bits that may be commonly wrong or faulty inside the machine?

I have had the same exact issue trying to read a 2004 Bosch crypter RB4 cluster... I have spent 10+ hours trying to read the damn eeprom. Also tried soldering as the other alt method... still no go. Glad I'm not the only one. Definitely a problem with the tool/24C0x interface.

did you change 74HC541 before or after realising it wont read 24cxx as when i updated mine i only changed the parts i needed to and didnt change my 74HC541

also the 8 pin test clips are very poor quality and some times dont contact very well
