How about a Saab 93?

You can get a nice Sport or Aero model for a decent price these days. 2003/04 onwards look better than the older models.

Only thing is the boot space isn't that big. I keep my golf clubs in the boot all summer and it's a pain if you go for a big shop.

theres up points and down points to every car though, might have another browse on the trader to get an idea.

sierra alfa alfa bravo ......... i do like the cockpit type dashes on them... deff in with a shout but im not 100% still.

i can look for hours on the trader and not find a car i like then i,ll look a day later and it,ll be the same cars but i'll look at them and find a car i like then i,ll look a few hours later and decide i hate it lol. cant make my mind up.

all the cars i want are out of my range. new civic would be the car i would have, got to love the design on that with the double triangle exhausts.

Is there a local car auction house near you that you could go to?

Always good to see them in the flesh and you can have a sit in it and play about.

SOUNDS GREAT TO ME LOL........

insurance isnt a prob, every bloody car i get a quote on the policy is almost the same, 1.2 or 2ltr monster, i must be at that age where they "THINK" lol im sensible, fully comp for the two of us it hasnt changed in years regardless of what car, got an online for one of the wrx type not much of an increase at all considering theres over ten groups difference lol.. i get crap fuel economy on all the cars i buy (must be how i drive pmsl)

police wow that would be good only ever been pulled once, when i had my second car ever in my teens. we could have nice chats pmsl....

only thing worries me is the drive like a skateboard..... does that mean id keep falling out of it?

suppose it would be the same with a type r civic......i dunno, i just trawl the trader until something takes my eye. we'll end up with a ~~~~ing heap i hate in the end...

29th April, 2008, 06:58 PM
well i got to admit i wasnt a fan and wanted a big car but ive just been out in it again to get the other half from work and its the most fun ive had in a car for a while, a good chuck it about car. felt like a go-kart.

i suspect my wallet is going to hurt shortly. there goes my big car dream.....

Tizzer22
29th April, 2008, 07:30 PM
If you only do urban driving m8 i wouldint go for the Cooper S 1.6, they suck the tank dry you would only be looking to get around 25mpg, i would probably go for the Cooper One 1.6 or as said by someone the 1.4 Diesel.

looks like we are going for a mini tomorrow, just been to see it and its a nice car so we,ve decided to go for it.

not drawn a large amount over the counter before so they better not have a set limit @ the bank or i,ll be kicking off as my money is my money and i aint waiting over the bank holiday for it lol.

02 black mini with cooper bodykit, looks the part but needs some nice alloys bunging on which i,ll do asap the standards just wont do it lol.

my bigger car dream out of the window but shes happy as she can drive this one.

thommo

well an update, the bank where being pr1cks and not giving me MY money, not a loan this money was in my account so there geting ~~~~ed off first chance i get and im off to a real bank, ABBEY ARE W@NKERS.

anyway i got round this by browsing the net further and finding a better car to buy with less miles, i have to go further to get it but i didnt mind as it allowed me to pay with the card instead of drawing it.

we now have an 02 red mini, half leather ect....great car and it drives like its on rails, going to get the bluefin chip which will take its bhp over the cooper. oh yeah lol, thing is the one and cooper have the exact same engine in them, only thing that different is the gearing (edited: AND THE FACT THE ONE IS RESTRICTED VIA THE ECU HENCE LESS BHP). so with this bluefin it will free 40 odd bhp and make it better than a cooper. dont get me wrong this thing is quick as it is and i was leaving bigger cars behind on the windies up on the yorkshire moors, i used to be a straight line speed man but not anymore you cant beat the feeling when you pull away from bigger cars round the corners, these cars hold the road, most fun ive had in years in a car.

so the search has ended, shes happy because shes got a car she can drive and im happy as its a car i can have uber fun in. and once the bluefin goes in it,ll be even better.
