Hello!

Costumer came in with his ECU saying that the last dude did something weird to immo off and asked me to take a look.
Turns out he desoldered the 24C02 memory and... done lol
Car starts (dont know how) but is always in safe mode.
Does anyone have a read of this memory from this ECU?
So I can then do a proper immo off with the memory on the PCB :)

Cheers!

try this, you may have a flashing glow plug indicator. I had a good file somewhere but I did it a long time ago and I don't know where it is?
7th leg pick up and connect with 8th.
Cut off pin 59 !!!
This will work if eeprom is atmel and have WP . If you cant find 24c02 use atmel 24cxx important is to have Write Protect on leg7
Regards

Thank you very much for your help!

Found AT24C02C-SSHM Serial EEPROM 2KBit SO8 (manufacturer ATMEL) on ebay. Will order it and try it when it arrives.

Cheers!

So just to give some feedback,

I bought the memories I said in the previous post, but the code that worked was this one in attachment I found in another thread here.
Wrote the code in the memory, soldered it to the PCB and joined the 7th leg to the 8th, BUT did not cut off the 59 pin.
I tried doing that but the car idled at 1300RPM and stopped having pedal response, as soon as I reconnected the pin again car worked normally.

Now it still has the red circle flashing plus the yellow car with wrench ligh on, but its no longer in safe mode, so its a win for me.

Cheers!
