BMW 530i 2002 - EWS & IKE issue

Hi,


Wanted to change mileage (up) but had missed to save original eeprom - long story short - first speedometer is destroyed.
Got another one with almost same numbers that worked for the car. Did the mileage and all was set, car doesnt even turn over.
By that time i had communication to both IKE & EWS, so i did EWS-DME aligment, and after that no communication what so ever.
Before i could start car even without the IKE cluster. Now nothing, all fuses ok inside car, i will check the ones in engine bay if there is any (long time ago i worked on these cars).
I write original EWS data to EWS but nothing happens, car doesnt even crank or turn over.
Checked EWS data and key wich seem OK according to both Ak90, EWS editor software and so on.

Any ideas or is it possible to do aligment on bench/by dump? Or do i need to connect all things on bench to do so?

If you put a backup back to EWS, it is out of sync with the transponder. Read EWS again, make a new transponder with AK90 using new read, don't write anything back.

Yesterday i plugged in the IKE and EWS after reading on bench.
Suddenly i have communication to both IKE + EWS.
Tried to EWS-DME sync but car didnt turn over, tried with both new 7935 chip (that was programmed on position 5 but i later changed it to position 6).


Here is list of fault codes on the different modules.
I think the donor IKE needs to be programmed correctly for the car to start.


DME: 80 [128] Signal EWS, timeout elapsed
EWS: 12[018] Wrong changing code, key 1
IKE: BF[191] Internal fault, eeprom checksum, coding incorrect/incomplete

I believe i changed the VIN of IKE to rest of the car (FGSTNR correct?).
I even copied coding from EWS->IKE with BMW Scanner

I have managed to get things going.. Atleast car cranks.


Now i have no errors on both EWS, DME, IKE (except LCM - Data filling, difference central light module), I have even filled up gas in the car...
Not starting with new chip/key. Crank -> no start -> Live data EWS show key 6 is ok, green on all. EWS-DME sync dont help :/


Any ideas?

Here is new EWS file, Key nr 6 is the "new" one. Weird that key nr 1 wich is original one doesnt work at all.

Problem solved and car is started. I edited the EWS latest file with some important data.
Only issue is that original key doesnt work but thats no big deal.
And also, the RPM doesnt work, but that might be coding issue.
