Some tools don?t read all the file (or encrypt it) when there is a "NOREAD" tag em the file... this patch make MPPS read the file even with the tag.

Even, this patch alow you to acess the program without the device plugued (you can see what it can do)

yes, it is normal
when you click on READ opens the following window: "switch off ignition, wait for 2 min then swicth on."
you must unplug power for 10 seconds, then hangs up power and click on OK and be able to read and write this ECU.

I have a problem i have read out a fiat 500 Abarth Tributo Ferrari in boot mode with fg tech. Because its impossible to read virtual via OBD. Now i have try to write the modified file into to the ECU via obd but not works it comes error checksum after writing. And the Mil Lamp is off car not running.after this i have try to write the original into the ecu that i have read out in boot mode but also the same error. Then i have write the ecu in boot mode with magpro 2 with a file with the 832kb size. Fg tech read 896kb. Now the car Run.
But the strangest one is nomally has the fgtech checksumm in writing for this ecu.

Same thing happened to me on a Golf 5 1.9 edc16u1 using v12. Finally I wrote the file using old galletto. I am starting to think that v5 is more stable than v12.

Same thing happened to me on a Golf 5 1.9 edc16u1 using v12. Finally I wrote the file using old galletto. I am starting to think that v5 is more stable than v12.
It was not mpps issue as it did same thing with magpro 4.2 and fgtech v2. Didn't had chance to bdm it as customer didn't agree to open the ecu so i didn't find out what was wrong.

mpps v16 eu doesnt read med17.5.5 on a seat leon 1.8tsi. It reads until 100%, then it displays "probing address" message, and then "no reply from ecu".
I used all possible drivers and all possible speed options. Any info on this?

Check for short circuit to earth in "K" line (maybe aftersale radio)...

I tried to connect with ECU "on the table" directly connector 81 pins. Without any result. ECU is not the problem because I tried on 2 different EDC 15 on the car and on the table, with Galletto 1250, and worked perfectly in both cases. I can conect with VCDS and Galletto 1250.

Noticed an strange thing with V12 (V13)... A3 180 ME7.5.1 with 29F400 before 2001 I can do with MPPS.. after 2001 it doesn?t ID or Write at car... all are same ECU HW, SW...tested in 5 diferent cars ( 2 2000 and 3 from 2003 to 2005).

Even with fuse 11 (or 15 I forget the rigth one) off it can?t do these ECU after 2001

I tried searching for my problem but couldn't find any useful info. Some time ago I bought a china MPPS V12 and went on testing on mostly EDC16U34 ECUs. I managed to read some (EDC17C14 too) and write a EDC16U34. But now when I try to ECU ID it says it didn't receive any informations from the ECU.
Any ideas what could be broken? I'm looking into buying the EU V16 clone but I don't know if I should wait for the V18 clone... :/

Friend with a china v12 clone (well says v13) is unable to read an Audi A4 B7 2.0 TDI. Gets to 2% and fails.

Any ideas? Voltage is staying in the green. No aftermarket radio or Bluetooth.

Probably bad clone. They do pretty well specially this ones. Routine advice you probably did try if above '05 u34 protocol or u31 if older car.

I am the owner MPPS v16 (16.1.0.2) without loader. It's beautiful. Does not break the connection to the v12 (v13). Supports the checksum in most systems (CAN, UDS). Where communication is only k-line, unfortunately, no checksum, for example, EDC15. Stability, however, is very high.

Yes i can confirm taht i also bought a MPPS V 16.1.0.2 form Austria (was an auction on E b a y) and it is working great.
EDC15 is more better then at Galletto.

Further some ECU it makes much more faster then Galletto or so :)

Software has no protection (HWID or dongle) and no loader.


China MPPS don't worth any cent (same as Galletto China and others).

I have counted the parts which are needed for MPPS with Farnell prices and came to result of around 30 Euros (including PCB and housing).

So how it is possible that chinese sell ready unit for 15 USD (their profit already included) -> the use cloned low quality parts (can get damaged at any time -> imagine what happen if it is during programing).

What is about MPPS V12? Wanted to purchase it for EDC15 and EDC16 but now I saw that there will be problems for EDC15. Could someone please give me recommendation on the appropriate hardware for doing mainly VAG vehicles. ECUs mainly EDC15, EDC16 and ME7. If others are supported it is also not a fault :)

I do many edc15 and edc16 with this version and not only vag and with 100% success. Only one thing, it does not calculate edc16 checksum, but when you know it it's not a problem.
