PS: Hint. IMHO JTAG adapter described in link above isn't stable device and require LPT-port.

IAW 6LP2.03 i try to read with the mpps but i can't. regognise the ecu starting the read and when 10% stopped...i solder resistor from galleto pdf on the ecu but nothing...any idea?i need help guy's...

I did the "update from V12 to V16" with the solution to copy the "V12 T0 V16 folder" inside the V12 folder.
Al is working but at the AUDI A3 2.0TDI EDC17CP14 there is no "PUSH Bottum for CHECKSUM"

Whats wrong?

In the Txt file is standing the problem is away with checksum and edc17!

Hi friend , i have one question about MPPS v12 eu. clone and yes it work like a charm , but i have only one problem and is - i try to read via obd edc16c31 and edc16c34 on BWM e60 530D 218h.p 2003 year i thing is on K-line (I am no sure) but the MPPS didn't read it he ID the ecu read it but the file is corrupt not full . Until this moment i don't have any problem whit it , read/write edc15,edc16(PSA,VAG,and others)- but this bmw can't .If i update it to v16 like is post here did i have luck whit this bmw-s cause want to try everything befor bdm it .

AS a general rule for MPPS (v12 and13)_from my experience with the tool . to all whom it may be of Help.

-Will read BMW ecus edc15 or dde3 dde4 as partial dump of 32-64kb- older mpps v3 read full512kb
-Works perfect on all edc15. can even recover them, except for VAG 2,5 tdi EDC15VM which i always had to do them on bench directly to ECU connector
-STay away from golf R32
-It can do ME7.5.x perfecty even if the bar acts strange.
-Can do PPD 1.x too
-DOnt uset in edc17 never.
-DOnt use on OPel edc16c39/9
_dont use on renault/siemens edc16cpxx will loose injector codes

Here is some expierence with MPPS what I done with this tool:
VAG EDC15- Skoda Fabia, VW Passat, VW Golf Read and write time about 4 minutes size 512kb
VAG EDC16U01- Golf5 Read and write time about 6 minute size 1mb
VAG EDC16U31- Audi A4, Audi A6 Read time 13 minute, write time 6 minute size 2mb
VAG EDC16u34- Golf 5 Read time 13 minute, write time 6 minute size 2mb
BMW DDE3.0 BMW 318d e46 read and write 2 minute size 32kb
Mercedes EDC15c6 Mercedes w203 C200 CDI, w203 C220 cdi read and write 6minute size 1mb

Which file you are flash, maybe your battery isn't be good or file which you flash have bad checksum, then you can try to write in slow mode original file.

i also have v16 plugin, i tested it read ok, it fail on writing edc16c34 psa, i can successffully reflash with v12 software without loosing injector code,
and since i don't use the v16 plugin.

i was thinking of picking a name of the net use them,
but there is no easy way to know if they are real tuner or pirate with "ebay account" and a disc of files???

Answers:
HW must be direct linked to the sw. It means V12 sw will work well with v12 hw, V16 sw will work very well with according hw, and so on.

I know there is a "tentative" for the sw extracted from V16 in order to work with v12 hw - you can find here in this topic how it is working. short answer - no no no.
I personal encourage you to have "ori" tool, of course the budget is high for this issue and with other hand you will have "official" support, regular updates etc.

On the other hand you can start buy working with "not genuine" tools - do some money and than buy ori tool.

"Actual V16" on the market has few flavors - depends from where you will buy it.
Recommendation: first do tests on spare parts and than go to real work.

Old versions do not support EDC17 (for example).
I think in near future there won't be big updates.

But tool gets more stable!

If you want to keep updatet just watch china market like aliexpress or something else and you will find.

You told us that the AMT had official v13 released, I told you that v13 official never exists.
I have all version from v1 to the last release.

From my knowledge from v12 they jump directly to v16 like they have done from v5 onwards than V8 - V10 - V12.

Therefore please upload here V13 official relese in order to close the topic!!!

MPPS - it is a tool and from my experience:
- with a lot of bugs,
- support I prefer to not comment on that,
- protocols from version to version sometime they damaged working protocols,
- not working protocols from the list
- etc.

This v13 uploaded is not OFFICIAL release - it is china fake!
As I told you V13 never exist from ATM as official release - V13 was done by china in order to substitute the official v16! To have something else than nothing!

I have said that - V13 was made by china in order to come with something "new" after a period without having an V16 version.
If you will look when they start to sell v13 you will discover that it was after 1 year official v16 was released, or more.

Because of less focus from the tuning community on MPPS - the last "not genuine" version came on the market quite late (even Eu version).
China guys are buying complete projects from EU community - they are only manufacturing tools, not "designing" tools this explain a lot.

Indeed china's v16 came on the market roughly half year ago ( I don't have real facts - just read bout it skeptical), but with less interest, FGTech gain a lot of market and more than that it is complete set tool for tuning.

i see you have no knowlege, so do not anything, that is my hint.
go to a tuner who knows and pay, otherwise you will get in trouble if you start to play with your bmw.

it is perfectly normal that your mpps breaks at 75%:
because your clone mpps v12 can not do CHK during writing

you need CHK calculated file, then you can write with MPPS and it will work
