yes you can use it like you would sky+ you can record say a satellite channel whilst watching cable or vice versa it not a bad box the tuners are mixable you could have 2 for cable if you want or whatever it also takes a dvb-t tuner too if you wanted

Can the 7025 AU a Sky card. I am thinking of just getting one of these for the main television as mrs does not like the clutter of lots of boxes.

thanks.

the only thing you would get from a sky dish is sky but if you arnt paying subs it would be freeview

to get the most from your dish you want as big a dish as possible but i think an 80cm will pick up a few main ones

I read on another forum that you can do that. No need to flick a switch. Would be good to know if a 7025 can AU a sky card because that is the only thing holding me back from getting one.

thered,

If it does all that then you can't really go wrong. It is a bit pricey but then again if it AU then there are CS possibilities which will save me a bit of money.

Is it easy as the openmedia to setup/flash etc ?

Also did you pay ?399 for it ?

thered

I think I will get one after xmas. Got some money due from spreadbetting around then so will wait for that to come through and splash out.

What size HDD did you go for ? I take it you can record sat and watch a different channel on the cable side etc.
