If you have Airbag Can Service Tool you can clear crash without opening and solder,only by can. More safe I dont know

yes ive been looking at it, looks like good tool, you get a good sucess rate with it?

what exactly would i need to buy to do srs units without opening? is SMARTOBD tool with Airbag Service tool what i need to buy? is diagcar the best place to get from?

another safe option is renecan light by autokey http://www.mina.com.ua/RENELIGHT_CAN/RENELIGHT_CAN.html

with smartobd if it fails half way thru programming it will brick the ecu, be careful of such devices

for some H8SX / RH850 chips u need also carprotool programmer from them to make all necessary dumps / writes
