Was doing a remap for a customer on his BMW 330D and we bumped into his mate who has a Leon PD150 ARL.

He was saying that his car didn't seem right after he had it mapped buy a VAG Specialist. Not going to name and shame.

Stock PD150 Injectors
GT1752V

Not sure on other mods, so i offered i would just read his file and see what's going on with it.

74 Mg/Per Stroke
2.990 Target Boost Map
3.000 SVBL
Stock 3 Bar MAP Sensor

All the correct maps have been changed, however the changes are quite hilarious.

Not sure why they didn't code in a 4 Bar, Customer said they cant do that for some reason.

10mBar is not high enough to compensate for boost spikes so causing possible overboost conditions

I personally think 2.0 Bar from a GT1752v is a bad idea and the target map is so bad.

1750 RPM requesting 1.8 Bar
2000 RPM - 4500 RPM set to 1.99 Bar honestly.

I said the customer needs a refund.

Id like to read your opinions...

Hi

I see a lot of those and people go really happy after paying lots of money

It really depends on what u want

I dont like to have car decalibrated with duration tuning in % all bad

I like tuning with extrapolated values, not cheating car increasing all values fuel timing and turbo pressure from 25-30mg
Car will run faster, but EOI too high and ecu will mess with boost calculations

But I dont know what happened there, car can also have some problem, i dont know

Its very common to have problems with hybrid turbos, depends on their quality too

typical uk PD "specialist" tuner.

SVBL: 3000mbar
Boost atm limiter: 3100mbar.
TL: 74mg, duration calibrated to max 60mg
smoke limiter ~afr13
and more more weird changes.
This ecu is very easy to tune at good method without cheating ecu.

Even some of the 'BIG' tuning companies in the UK don't charge half of that lol

And if you ask the engineers of the SEAT, which I do not think they will even answer you, they will tell you everything that affects what you think is perfect.
Because they have spent years testing that engine, and now two mechanics arrive and tell him how to do it, that irionia eh, oh yeap

Alonedark, I don't you understand what this post is about and if you do understand the post you think its acceptable to charge £760 for this file?

I suppose that you will have the data from the dino post the graph and see if the results are in accordance with what they told you.

so u judge if a tune is "well thought out" by "dyno numbers" ? LOL

when tuning you have 2 options really. you either understand what the effects are of the numbers you're changing, or you don't.
