Hi,

Could somebody please tell me which micro controler this is please? it is from a mercedes wsp control unit i want to read and re program the numbers/letters on it are as follows:

196056A0 13/99
ZC527178
OJ66D
HLCD9943

Also is it possible to read program without lifting the pins/legs? Are there units that will fit over this to read/program/write in circuit?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Any ideas on a supplier for that? i have a digimaster 2 but it shows i need to lift legs/pins and solder wires to specific pins which i am hoping to avoid?

Can i not just change the file extention to .bin?

And is there a way of extracting/writing the data without soldering?

Will the probes work ok with Digimaster V2?

And can i just simply change the file extension to .bin?

PremierD: the idea is not to have to send it away ;-)

Mate ...I know the Idea.. The probes will work with anything that supports th MCU mate .. I have them connected to ETL ... But your programmer says lift and solder .so i doubt that they will work.
The question you asked was .Is there a way of reading this MCU without lifting pins or soldering.. I gave you the two choices ...send it away.. or use an ETL.... your choice mate ....

You must face up to the fact that you need to solder, lift pins, remove micros etc if you want to do this sort of work!
