Hello,

Is is possible to delete just the fuel additive (Eolys) part of the dpf system without disabling or removing the dpf itself in a 2015 Peugeot 208 (1.6BlueHDi)?

If I understand correctly, the dpf shall still work as it should, except that the regeneration temperature shall be higher than that with Eolys dosing and hence the potential of blocking the dpf shall be higher. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Shall I also have to delete relevant DTCs such as P1434 and P1435 or simply removing the eolys from the dump be enough?

Thank you.

Hi, not possible, aditive allows to clean dpf reducing in 100ºC the need temp to burn ashes in dpf.Witout aditive will increase regens durations ending up blocking dpf.

@ jnoroeste, Thank you for your input. As you also mentioned, the function of eolys is just to reduce particulate combustion temperature and hence better cleaning of the dpf. Therefore, removing of eolys alone should technically be possible as long as the user is aware of the implications and take the necessary steps (periodically adding eolys directly to fuel tank or other aftermarket additives) or go for periodic forced regeneration using autocom etc. My older 207 does have dpf but no eolys tank!
