Very new to this website and was looking for some advice. I recently got a dreambox 500t from a friend but only relised it was damaged.
I need to buy another one and was lookig for some advice as to where to get a new one, I am living in Ireland. Also can I get it with software on it???
I have heard a lot about another type Linux which is similar to the dreambox, would these type be suitable for mmds received chanels, chorus. I have been looking at some of the threads but really need to get my head around some of the buzz words.
Is there somewhere I get some of the basics ???? It seems to be a great site if only I knew what I was looking for.
Any info appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I ordered a 500T two weeks ago from Buyingthings.co.uk and am still waiting. Worrying thing is that I have been unable to contact them over the past 5 days! Has anybody else had these delays with this company?
As soon as it comes in I will be back for more advice.

i've ordered from them before and their delivery times are totally crap but It'll get there eventually. If your not happy open a dispute with paypal and get a refund.I know where you can get them closer to home for a little more money if your interested.
PM me if you need the site.

they said that their load with boxes got held up by customs and they trying to rip them off with tax...anyway was asked to open a dispute in order to get a refund or wait.I am getting a refund..here is a place that i use to get them before Sat Sun, Digital TV (http://www.satsun.biz/) takes 8 days to arrive to IRE 100% ,also they only using google checkout, box worked out for me at 80 euros all in with shipping!! so it`s well worth waiting :celticscarf:

I ordered one off DVBseller and received it after 8 days for €110 including p&p.
Configuring it at the moment with latest dreambox flash file. Do I also need to update keyfiles in order to decode chorus signals?
