I know you can run programs in an earlier version of windows but have never tried it with a game.
Try following this information from microsofts website on this matter.

Open the Program Compatibility Wizard by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking "Use an older program with this version of Windows".

Maybe Virtual machine is solution for you :)

If its the original version that runs under dos, download dosbox from dosbox.com.

make a folder under windows such as c:\dos and once dosbox is running type mount c c:\dos
that will give you a hdd under dosbox

Then copy the stuff into C:\dos under windows, and try running the program in dosbox.

Hope that gives you some ide.

there is a big variety of progs that can run a 100% working virtual computer in a window. try them!

Try installing Virtualbox on your computer and create a virtual machine with freedos on it.

It is a dos-based game, so Dosbox is your best bet.

try DBGL, its DosBox but with a nice front-end.

Sorry to intrude but is it possible to play PlayStation games on PC too?

PS1 games play very well with a PS1 emulator, have a look at ePSXe
but PS2 emulators have not been as good, although there has recently been an update to the latest PCSX2 (PS2 emulator), which I haven't tried yet.

I think it's abandonware:

Download Transport Tycoon | Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/44/Transport+Tycoon.html)
Download Transport Tycoon Deluxe | Abandonia (http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/240/Transport+Tycoon+Deluxe.html)

Dosbox aint bad, recently tried to setup the Z Expansion Pack but it failed miserably with sound card setup problems.

My lastest solution was to just buy an old PC from eBay, if you've got the extra space it's the best way of reliving the old games! lol

Recommend 'X-COM:UFO Defense', strategy turn based. Conversions are around for PC and it's available on Steam.

There are modern versions coming in 2012, see Gamespot reviews
