Hello colleagues! I have a 2016 Passat B8, which is a friend's car. It was turned off in the evening, and the next day, when he tried to start it by pressing the start button, the car wouldn't start. There are no errors displayed on the dashboard indicating a key identification problem, even though the key is not inside the car. We placed the key near the steering column, in the designated spot for key placement when the battery is low, but without any result. We checked the fuses and relays, and they're fine. The start button is functional. The modules in the car have also been checked, and there are no errors, J965 Interface for entry and start system J527 Steering column electronics control unit J623 Engine/motor control unit J519 Onboard supply control unit wire has been checked after cable diagram all is ok . The power supply to the specified modules is fine, and I can access them through diagnostics. The car's navigation system displays a message in the car menu saying that the ignition is not on, even when I press the start button. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Has anyone else encountered this issue?it is posible the J965 module to be deffect hardware or software and give no error on diagnostic. Is there any chance to bypass this system and be able to turn ignition on?

not sure, so i will clean it properly. thanks.

edit-1: tried to clean it, no result.

edit-2: I ordered a new steering lock module and a new acces module. I will change them and let you all know.

edit-3: changed the steering colom lock-module and the car is running. You have to use Odis to activate the module.
