help totally confused just bought star box 3 25+7 vents cannot down load 7.09 .i am not that good on computers please help going nuts

go to bigmaq.co.uk and d/l the toolbar. i think you've got a clone box. if you havent ~~~~ed it already, get a clone friendly firmware and reflash.

my friend downloaded 8.00 onto my star box 3 but it will not pick up channels

Have you scanned on the correct provider and have you done so from the direct feed? That is where the cable enters the house. Presume you also have a live feed. Make sure the coax is in the RF in socket on the back of the box.

When I first got my box I couldn't use 7.09 because I didn't have WINRAR on my computer to open it

what the hell is winrar

its an archiving tool for making files smaller.
once arhived with winrar, the file needs winrar or similar like 7zip to extract it.

google my friend, but imho,get 7zip. its smaller and unzips anything
and its now in the download section
