VIIPlusLoader-08.023.05-FULL and firmware downgrade

Hello everybody, since the main thread has been closed I wanted to know if it's true that after using VIIPlusLoader 08.023.04 or 08.023.05 you can not downgrade the firmware anymore. I wanted to be sure before trying the new loader with VCDS 23.3.1. Thanks.

What VCDS and loader are you currently using?

I've no plans to move from 22.10 and loader 08.22.09.005, everything works fine with this version.

Since 23.04 has a new Bootloader
It isnt possible to downgrade firmware bellow that

I think that isn't possible to dowgrade firmware using VIIPlusLoader but it should be possible downgrade firmware flashing STM32 chip :)

Thank you for your answers. At the moment I'm using VCDS 23.3.0 32 bit with loader 023.02 without issues. I wanted to try 23.3.1 with the new loader but if the bootloader has changed I'll will keep the old version. Thanks. :top:

23.3.1 works with V2plus 23.02

Hi all, sorry for interupting thread. Anyone experiencing UDS problem with vcds 23.3.1 and loader 8.023.05 and vcds cable with ST32F429? For example when opening experimental coding in UDS modules coding info shows as "TNF172***" or when reading fault codes in UDS modules additional info shows as [Tip-TNF 20****]. Previously been using VCDS 21.3 and loader 8.21.05 and older VCDS cable(sadly I dont know witch ST chip it had) and everything showed correctly, but sadly this cable got burnt and dead. Anyone have an idea how to solve this issue?

Try VCDS 22.10 and loader 08.22.09.005, everything works fine with this version. I'm also using the STM32F429

I've had no luck downgrading fw for vcds cable with older loaders. But I ve been lucky to find a new loader version v08.023.07, witch updated cable fw and seem to fix the problem, I guess problem is the fw versions.
