Hi,
I should have bought the dm600 but didnt..
Can anyone recomend a cheap pvr that will work with the dm500?
I dont want to setup network.
All the PVR's I see have built in freeview, does this mean they will only recieve signal from an ariel?
Thanks.

Hi
No, this won't work, no USB on dm500, only suitable output to use from the DM500 is scart then scart input to either DVD rewritable mains Recorder or PVR (with scart input, not a freeview box) This is the only way if not wanting to use FTP. You will need to feed the dm500's scart to DVR's scart in, then DVR's scart out to your TV/Monitor, I have mine setup like this.

ok mate,
I was thinking with this being an Ethernet HDD enclosure this might work, nothing to do with USB.
Thanks for the DVR input, is yours just a bog standard DVR? Or specific to cable?

Hi
You might be right about the ethernet side of it, just saw USB, and though not, I will have a look at one.
Just a bog standard cheapy from the popular auction site 'Liteon A110'
Takes writeable or rewritable DVD+ discs, also plays MP3's and other formats.
UPDATE: Had a look and from the reviews it would be possible to do with that type of enclosure and spec, but you would need a network setup/router connection to use one.
