I have just bought a 51 reg golf 1.8T GTI for the missus but both the remote keys are broken (key ring part is snapped off) so it looks like I need to buy 2 more, my questions is can I program them in to the immobiliser and remote locking using VAG COM?
Also currently pressing the unlock button only opens the drivers door can I alter this to open all the doors at once?

Any help much appreciated

Thanks in advance

hit the unlock button twice to unlock all doors... if memory serves you only need the vag-com to adapt the key, not the remote... save yourself a trip to the locksmith, the key itself is held to the remote by a little pin, drill or push it out and move it over to your replacement remote. that way you don't have to go through all the trouble of having new keys cut and adapted.

to adapt the remote put one key in the ignition, switch to on, the other key in the door, turn to lock, press the unlock button, if all went well the car will flash the turn signals, hit unlock again then release the key. adaptation done.
