You also need to adapt it or modify the eeprom

That always makes me wonder. I mean the thing with 'someone' messed this up for customer but now he is my customer but I don't know what to do.

How does this happen? I mean, don't get me wrong but I just don't undestand how this works. If somebody else mess up (can happen to anyone), then it's on his shoulders to fix it or find someone who can fix it. Meanwhile customer let it go and just ask you if you can help? I don't understand why the 1st guy who messed up is not trying to fix it, no matter by himself or not but now it looks like he just messed up and customer is like ah OK no problem, I will try find someone who fix.

The costumer lost all his keys and the guy tried to make him a key and didn’t succeed, the costumer keep calling around and found me so I removed the kessy and found that the chip was removed and I called that guy to get the file he read from the chip, he explained me that he wrote the eeprom back

Not an uncommon story! Had one this week, a 2010 smart key Subaru, got one next week a 211 chassis E Class. Both have had other people working on it after a loss of keys and they've failed and bailed. Lots of people who jump into the auto key industry don't have quite as much commitment to the job as you or I, and when it gets hard they scarper and go do another job poorly.

May also be the owner of the cars losing patience with the guy who clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

Okay, thanks for explanation. I though customer just needed an extra key and he just made the car non runner, because there was no information it's all keys lost. So everything is clear and fine, good luck with making it back on the road then.

Yes but just failing to do the job is normal, I mean might happen to everyone because personally I try till I succeed but sometimes we can fail because of some stupid/silly mistakes or Sometimes even 'simple' thing which you've done multiple times and isn't difficult at all, suddenly becomes problematic. It's just part of that job.. But nevemrind, I just thought the guy made customer's car non runner and customer found someone else just like that. All good now.

Lol I remember customer with Ford Mondeo 2009 flip key. His chinese remote switched freqyency by itself to 315MHz and stopped working. He wanted me to make new remote so easy peasy, Im trying and nothing, car can't enter remote programming mode. I tried everything 4x, 6x, 8x, nothing. I just said I can't do that, no idea why. Then he must have though 'what a dumnass, he's trying to do something without connecting any equipment, let's go somewhere else' Next day my friend ask me If a guy was in my workshop with Mondeo, I say yes. Because customer told him he was in city 'xxx' which Im in and that the guy failed. He said customer impossible that he failed with that but I did :) I asked him what have you done, he just said standard procedure 4x times ON-OFF, well I was trying the same for 30 minutes and no luck so everyone fails at some point and sometimes there is no reason of that, that's what I meant :D

these remote pcbs should have other procedure for change frequency, it happens...

you need other kessy or eeprom file from same unit, pin from car and from new kessy, adapt with vcds and then learn keys. No easy workaround.

I know that but at that time I didn't, customer just came in without arrangement so I wanted to program new OEM. Then I was searching if possible to change freq on this China temote just for future and I found how to.

Thanks, sound really easy.
