Is EDC17 Bricked

Hello Guys,
I think I just Bricked ECU for Audi EDC17cp44 while writing with ktag, I think I soldered the boot pin wrongly because now I can't connect diagnosis to ECU and fun runs on full speed, is this fixable? Now pcm flash can read DTC but car don't run

Check ur connections and try read with ktag. If ktag reads then write back ori file

Ktag failing to read Micro protection removal failed

Its ktag problem. It fails to read password. Try see if u have another protocol for cp44. For example on mercedes edc17cp10 there are 2 protocols . One uses gpt one doesnt. Only one worked for me. If not try other tool.
Other posibility is you deleted password area with bad file. Magpro2 x17 can extract psw and for sure does a great job recovering these ecu.

u have balls to write this ecu with clone ktag ... now buy good tool for next time and if u want to start car, buy ecu and code with odis online or make update with flex good luck :)

You wrote wrong version 4L2910401C 0002 . You need 4L2910401B 0002.
Try to write with pcmflash and pwd file this file in attachment. And not use clone tools for this job as is cp44!

If you have written ori files and still no start looks like damage to the ecu

Looks like you need a replacement ecu and adapt with odis online or do immo off. replacement ecu around £340-£699 :disturbed:

All clone tools have this risk and thats why i got pcmflash for this very reason. For the money you will spend fixing this you could of
got pcmflash and do it all via OBD.

Do you have original read (eep+micro) from your ecu? Before writing and other tries.
