PS3 failing

I have my PS3 connected with HDMI but lately it has being showin' some "rain" or "snow" on the screen while playing RE5 or blu-ray.. does anybody knows why this is happening or how can I solve it?

Sounds like a hdmi signal degradation.. I'd try another hdmi lead and hopefully that will sort it. Also known problems are hdmi port failures..
