i have just got a dm800, have installed the latest gemini 3.8, have coppied the cables.xml file over to \var\etc but when scanning it fails to detect any channels, what else do i need to do to get this working, is there a step by step guide

anyone hava any idea what the transponder frequency should be for gillingham??

just a wild guess you not far from maidstone
try this with manual scan
i dont have a dm800 but here goes lol
type of scan > single transponder
frequency > 619
inversion > auto
symbol rate > 6952
modulation > 64 qam
fec >auto
network scan > yes
if you have this option as well
clear before scan > no
free only > no

there is allot of guides out there - thing is no one is EXAPLING the next part of how to scan etc

think you have to do a manul scan with the 800 as there is not many that have them so not alot playing about with images for cable had it working my self for a while and know it works

cool, now have the channels just need to get the keys working, which cam woul be best to use??

i would try mgcamd newcamd evocam and gbox m8 as they all work different i find also you have to add your key files if you have not already

these three all work m8 with gemini 3.8
evocam and mgcam best for cable
by the way just ftp them into temp then install using bluebutton ect do not uzip the file the box will do it

Hi Mikebuzz i am in the same boat as you mate, Ifyou nget yours working let me know, what you did please, and if i get mine sorted i will pass on the info to you. I am waiting for some advice on how to install evocam on the DM800, but another user is now saying he could not get the evocamd to work on his DM800, clear as mud is'nt it.

Hi have written in another post that i can not get evocam to work on my DM800 and like the user a couple of posts above think you may have to try using Mgcamd on the Dm800 for now
