guys could someone help with this car.

Eis was stolen, so i bought i used eis from ebay (bad luck it was a dealer eis).
is there a way to get this eis working in this car.

i have eep/flash from the eis.
eep flash from the ecu (crd3.2)
i have ssid from the ori key.

I also tried to write ecu data (read by cgdi from ecu on the bench) to a normal eis (not a dealer eis) entered a pw and write this file to the donor eis.
make 2 new keys, activated eis on desk with elv emulator.

on the desk this works good but in the car with ori elv cant turn key to the on position.

is there a pw on the ecu also?

wbr Adam.

Why people are stealing those EIS modules from Sprinter?

Why people are stealing those EIS modules from Sprinter?

because they can't get them cheap by breakyard and dont know how to repair them.

it's not only sprinter, Vito W639 too. and by Vito its almost impossible to come by.

Possibly an owner screwing a locksmith on replacement keys and the locksmith taking the EZS to prevent the car running again until he's paid for works completed?

These units aren't removed easily without the correct tool, I doubt a car thief is nicking off with the EZS to take the car.

Anyway my friend I think you've made a mistake somewhere and either your password or key data is incorrect, or you failed to count back to the EZS SSID from the key. Write a known good EEPROM to EZS, Remove ELV and ECU, virgin on bench then personalise in the car. This will definitely make the car run.

That makes sense but as a single story but this is happening from time to time. I though about those EIS are worth much money but still strange for me...

That special tool is... A flat screwdriver :)

Hah a flat screwdriver makes a mess of the ring in my opinion, especially 906/639 with the locking ring behind. But I guess if you're a thief you don't care much do you? I use my chinese made aluminum EZS removal tool these days, but I made one out of a section of bedpost many years ago as I hated removing with a screwdriver.

Thief? cmon friend, please don't offend me like that :).

Honestly, it's exact same process to remove the ring by this special tool and screwdriver. Only difference is it looks more profesional with that tool than a screwdriver (it takes same time to remove) I don't know how you can mess the ring with scredriver. You just block the flat head against 1 of 3 plastic 'grooves' inside the ring and make a counterclockwise move to just loosen it and then unscrew ring completely with 1 finger. It's same method as the tool work, but the tool fits peftect for all 3 grooves at once but that doesn't make it easier to use because block against 1 groove is completely enough, the ring isnt as tight secured.

Why people are stealing those EIS modules from Sprinter?People take eis out to steal the car, they get disturbed and eis is gone.

But what is the correct procedure for now.
Should i reset elv and make some adaption?
With emu car also not starting so elv is not the only issue.
I need to know if there is a pw in this ecu?
That could explain why var is not running

Most likely best way will be virginize ECU and adapt it to EIS.

It's a pandemic in the UK

on the right-hand drive the thieves need under 1 minute to steal it

Second hand on ebay cost over 150 quid and is very hard to find the exact model

I programmed one few months ago with CGDI as Honing wrote but no problem with the ELV the van started maybe there was a emulator

but I had a lot a lights on the dash like ABS that need coding and now I refuse jobs like this

I bought other EIS and read the pass and virginased it

I read the info from the the ECU and there is button generate EIS data

I wrote this data on the EIS

I programmed new key and the van start - no problem with the ELV

when I programmed the EIS I wrote the same key set number as the original that I read from the existing key - maybe this is important

What pw did you use to write in the donor eis.
I used a random pw from another eis.

When you write the new password there is another fild where you must write the key set value - after that all key programmed to this van will have the same key set number

Read the existing key and will see this number

Maybe this number is also saved on the ELV and maybe is important to write it to the new EIS

about the password I used the password that I read from the donor EIS but you can use random pasword
