A dreambox is the only receiver which accepts ND5 cards with a certain cam i think.

A dreambox Dm500 with the emu CCcam 2.0.9 will read your S*y card.

Thanks for that

once set up can it be used NOT being connected to the internet? just stand alone?

To get the maximum out of dreambox you really need to have it connected to the internet.

Will work fine without the net but the net is the best thing about dreamboxes. But if you dont wanna then you dont have to.

HI

the reason I ask is that where it will be used there will not be an internet connection, but I have heared most recievers do not keep the sky card alive if not in a sky box. I am trying not to have the sky box as well and dont want to have to swap it every couple of months

what about these TECHNOMATE TM-5400 CI+ SUPER? this has been recommended also!!

will the sky card be cut off if not in sky box regular?

thanks
