Hi all,

I need to replace SID208 ECU and match it to a new immobilizer, but new ECU says "locked".


Any help where/how I can unlock and switch Immo off ?
Or where Immo Code (4 Byte) is stored?

Immobilizer type is Lucas 10AS

Car is a Defender 2.4 tdci from 2009
ECU is Conti FH12-12C520-AA / S180139002A

in post below I added Flash & Eeprom files I retrieved with PCMFlash....

Can work on OBD and Bench


Edit: I'm using Kess 2.08 with China Clone but Cannot make Ktag to read ECU for getting unlock Key.

When selecting Land Rover 2.4 Ktag gives me "Ressource Error"

Thanks m8 ... I wasn't sure about that ... thanks for the confirmation.

As this might be a one time only job, I ordered a SM2 pro for PCMFlash ... will take a few days for delivery.


If I understood correctly (never done it on this ECU before) :

1. Read unlock key via OBD / CAN
2. Start Tricore 1797 in BSL mode and patch for permanent unlock

But how can I make the ECU to accept a new immobilizer then?
