Hi can eny one help with how to programmer Land Rover 2004 Discovery 2 remote thanks for eny help .

i suspect you may have had more helpful replies had you added more detail to your question , for instance what key programmers you have , is it all keys lost or a spare , have you an original key or an aftermarket key and new or used key ? as it is no one can give you accurate help.

you program the remote via obd with a key programmer with this coverage , if disco 2 it will be the fixed blade key with bar code label , you need the bar code label as the code must be entered into the vehicle during programming with your key programmer.

I have tried with xtool and xhorse the key has no chip so I was just trying to add the remote . I got an aftermarket key with the barcode supplied . I was looking for a tablet or anything I can use to program the new remote as my equipment won't do it .any and all help is appreciated. ITA a 2004 land Rover discovery

sdd should do this as long as you have key with bar code , never trust a customer , probably not a genuine key if an internet key so likely aftermarket or second hand , if it has the correct bar code sticker with it then should go in .

is it all keys lost or is it spare ? as if all keys lost you will need the eka code to disarm the immobiliser before programming the key to the car , you enter eka code via the drivers door lock , then wait around 10 mins till immo disarmed to open car and code key .

no chip in these as the remote disarms the immo , if no existing remote to disarm then you need to obtain the eka code to disarm immo.

SDD on vcx se webiste says tool starrt from 2006 this is 2004 year one .
