Ok lucky me has a 1997 chrysler neon to fix that the keyfobs have stopped working. One of the keyfobs transmitts the other doesnt.
I have found this:
1) Locate the DARK GREEN wire with a RED Insulated Terminal behind the Passenger Kick Panel.
2) GROUND the DARK GREEN wire.
3) Turn Ignition Switch to the RUN Position.
4) Press ANY Button on Transmitter. The Doors will Lock & Unlock to Confirm.
5) If any other Transmitters need to be Programmed, proceed Now.
6) Remove DARK GREEN wire from GROUND.
7) Turn Ignition Switch OFF

Is this information correct?

There are also im*obiliser bypass modules out there but there ?120.

Does anyone have the pin outs for the im*obiliser unit located behind the centre of dash there are two, one just unpluggs then replug car loom back together but there is another one , with a single grey plug on, i know the two yellows are starter cut, theres two pink purples and two oranges. I dont want to just join these without knowing what they are ive read somewhwere that this unit does things to crank sensor input to ecu is this true?

pin outs for this unit would be great so i can decide what to do.

Much thanks in advance as always.

Oh ye forgot to say as patrian would say " my girlfriend autodata has got very limited info on this vehicle" LOL

Cool.

"Meat-City-Crysler & Scum Of The Earth Ltd" DO NOT open these remote controls, they just supply the batteries and say "We have your money now ~~~~ off".

THINK avondiagnostics are the cheaspest at ?60+vat (think) for the bypass module (your find not mine!)

Something about the crankshaft sensor is 5Volt and it has something to do with the immo box.

So if you are bored try.

Sussing out the crank kill GUESS it's a switched neg out the immo box, so key some retard (CLUTCH DOWN if manual) to keep flicking the key, if you get a post flash it to earth, if it goes frizzle oops it's a pos switched.

Then count the number of neg/dim negs with your Mac ET120 and an plug the **** shaft sensor, if you loose one, feed this using a 7805 regulator, close eyes turn key see what damge you cause.

Enjoy.

Girlfriend, nah waste of time won't apprechate the effort involved.

I use the Avon by-pass module, alarm located behind the upper dash, plug and play 20 mins work, done alot of them.

I've tried to attach the Paul's fitting instructions, not sure if i've done it right though.

I can mail it if not.

ll. Didnt have the balls to go for shorting cables if i dont know what they are!!!!!!!!

It don't run now, so if there is a bang and a flash, just order the bypass module anyway, charge the customer anyway, then tell them it's look like the old unit went down because the ecu blew it, then save the module some sucker else paid for and charge the next bloke full retail.

What's the problem with that?

That's ok if it's just a normal feed cut like an aftermarket alarm, but with some of these cars they cut Ecu feeds which can be expensive if they go flash bang pop !!!

I've known Paul from Avon for a while now and if he's made a module it's cos there's more involved then joining some wires.

I also use his Renault & Rover by-pass and have a programmer for inputting the security code before installing the module if anyone needs one doing :ciao:
