MG add key for HS

Hi All, tried to add another smart key for MG model HS but not success.
Used Autel IM508, XTool Pad2 and Lonsdor 518 but non working
Any body done it before please give some hints / tricks

Let me guess? Key gets added, remote works, starts at emergency position but no proximity function? Almost all tools do this with MG HS. Use dealer tool to register, Smart Pro has it on beta right now and I've tested it and it is working but hasn't been released to end users yet.

My experience was somehow better on HS 2021. I used Autel to read PIN, then moved on to programming KeyDIY generated key. It added the key but no proxy engine start (all else worked including proxy door lock/unlock). Then erased all keys and programmed again - bingo, all worked. There are some instruction in the Xhorse generating software but are unclear and not sure what they mean - basically I understood the following - always program keys without battery and with car turned off but I couldn't turn off the car after erasing the keys and didn't try that before the first programming.

It's worth to mention I actually had some hard time programming the client key back to the car after the erasing. It worked when I removed the shell and battery and put the antennae exactly above the key picture in the cup holder.

All Autel IMMO tablets will work - 508/608 series. For Keydiy - just find the correct remote to generate in it's database! There's no dependency on the KD equipment model.

Pay an auto locksmith or dealer to do it. It is far cheaper than buying tools to do one key. It sounds like you dont have any equipment at the moment..
